Step 1: Install the app<\/strong>
\n- Go to the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android)
\n- Search for Microsoft Authenticator
\n- Download and install the app<\/p>\n

Step 2: Go to your security settings<\/strong>
\n- Open a browser and go to: https:\/\/aka.ms\/mfasetup<\/a>
\n- Sign in with your Microsoft 365 work or school account
\n- Click on Next<\/p>\n

Step 3: Link your account to the app<\/strong>
\n- Choose \u2018Mobile app\u2019 as verification method
\n- Select \u2018Receive notifications for verification\u2019
\n- Click on Settings<\/p>\n

Step 4: scanning the QR code<\/strong>
\n- Open the Microsoft Authenticator app
\n- Tap \u2018+ Add account\u2019
\n- Choose \u2018Work or school account\u2019
\n- Choose \u2018Scan QR code\u2019
\n- Scan the QR code<\/p>\n

Step 5: Verification testing<\/strong>
\n- Click Next on your computer
\n- Approve the notification on your phone<\/p>\n

Step 6: Additional security option<\/strong>
\n- Add a phone number
\n- Choose SMS or phone call<\/p>\n

Step 7: Finalising<\/strong>
\n- Click on Done
