Sbeen on for almost 10 years Envato's Theme Forest including WordPresstemplates offered. There are many web designs available, but the most commonly used template is Avada of Fusion Theme.

With more than 160.000 sales, a winner that no one knows.

It is not without reason that we have used this template for our own website and that of various customers!

The template

The template currently offers 14 demos. This means that you can install this template and have 14 basic looks to choose from. These are loaded into the websites in the form of demo content. This saves you a lot of time. Please note that many photos used in templates do not come with the standard license. These will have to be exchanged with your own photos.

The reason why this template has sold so much is its user-friendliness and quality. Bugs (small errors) are rare and there is a very extensive control panel in the admin area to provide the entire website with the correct colors, alignments and options.

Especially with little experience and template installations, the options in the control panel can be too many. It can also be difficult to link certain functions to the output of the website. What happens to the front-end website if I remove a check mark or adjust a value.
Although the basics of a website can be online quickly, adjusting it is still quite a bit of work. Fortunately, these were all the “disadvantages”.

Both the front of the website and the control panel can easily be provided with a Dutch translation using a Dutch PO file that is supplied as standard. There is also extensive documentation available on the Theme Fusion website including useful videos. This is in English.

The great thing about Avada are the many well-functioning functions. Below is some of it:

• Fusion Builder: This drag&drop page builder ensures that a page can be created easily and without much knowledge of code. Various functions such as contact forms, sliders, photos, texts, etc. can be added, removed or adjusted at the touch of a button. Very useful if you plan to maintain the website yourself.
• Demo Content Importer: Simply a basic website online with demo texts and photos.
• Control panel: The control panel in the admin section of the website is very extensive. There is probably no other template that makes it possible to adjust so many things without having to delve into the code.
• Responsive design: Like all contemporary templates, Avada is also easy to view on any screen.
• Integration with known plugins: Avada works fully and guaranteed with WooCommerce, bbPres, Contact Form 7, Gravity Forms and Revolution Slider.
• Fusion Options: Handy option at the bottom of each page to adjust or switch on/off sidebars, sliders, backgrounds, etc.
• Retina Ready: Avada is complete Retina Ready.
• mega menu: Avada has MegaMenu built in by default.
• Revolution Slider: Revslider is the best sliderPlugin that is on the market. This plugin is included as standard in the price and represents a value of $19. In addition, Avada has included 3 more slider plugins in the price.
• Language: Avada is not only suitable for translation, 33 languages ​​are included as standard in the form of PO files.
• Portolio: By default, Avada has an option to post portfolio items, including an overview page.
• Blog: By default, 6 different blog layouts are available that can be adjusted from the control panel.
• SEO friendly: The Avada template promotes good findability through the correct use of CSS en HTML.
• Sidebars: An infinite number of sidebars are possible.
• Custom CSS: There is a default option to override the template's CSS.
• Page templates: Pages can be saved as a template, so that they can be used as a basis for other pages.

Benefits

There are many advantages, as can be seen in the story above. These can be briefly summarized in words user friendly en quality.

Cons

We have not encountered any real disadvantages yet. But if we have to name a few:

• Fusion Builder's compatibility with other templates. If you ever plan to switch to another template and would you also like to export the pages? Please note that the Fusion Builder writes separate code that will show a completely different layout for other templates.
• Extensive: Although many customization options are not actually a disadvantage, in combination with the amount of plugins, small adjustments can result in quite a lot of searching. Completely adjusting the website will also take quite some time.

Conclusion

As mentioned, we think Avada is a top template with a very high “value for money” percentage. Not only is it difficult not to build a beautiful website with this template, setting it up is also very pleasant due to the many well-functioning functions and plugins.
In combination with the great functions of WordPress, this template gives you a website where adjustments can be made easily and that is ready for the future!
