Google Chrome's first move towards preferring websites with SSL certificates has been visible since Chrome's latest update.
The word "Secure" now stands for domain names/websites with SSL/https.

It was already some time known that Chrome would start displaying websites without SSL differently in 2017, but Google is clearly not letting any grass grow on it.
Neither do we because the vast majority of all websites we manage have now been converted to https.
